Trip Overview
This seven-day loop starts in Port Vila on Efate, then flies north to Espiritu Santo for WWII relics, sapphire freshwater caves and champagne beaches. Days alternate between soft adventure (kayaking, reef-snorkelling, volcano boarding) and slow village encounters where you taste lap-lap baked in coconut milk and hear bamboo flutes over the fire. The pace is moderate, early starts beat the equatorial heat. But afternoons are left free for hammock time or a second swim. Getting Around
Domestic flights link Port Vila and Luganville (35 min). On Efate, local buses (minivans with red plates) cost 150 vatu anywhere between the airport and Mele. On Santo, hire a driver for the day, roads to Port Olry are sealed but narrow. Ferries for Hideaway and Aore run on demand. Allow 15 min crossing.
